Freedom Trail Challenges are commemorative walks dedicated to the escape line helpers of World War 2. They are not intended to be races, competitions between nations or teams or military units. Each walk is non-sectarian and non-political and is open to any ELMS member fit enough to take part. Some of the walks are tougher than others and full details will be made available to prospective entrants before each event. There are usually arrangements made for veterans and other non-walkers to participate in these events as well, as may be seen from some of the Freedom Trail reports

A list of the Freedom Trails to be run is shown on the Events Diary page and all ELMS members will be notified automatically. Members are asked to return the Proforma included with their Newsletter if they are interested in participating in any of the events. If you are not an ELMS member but wish to join the Society then please contact us for details
